On June 13, 2025, the T-DELS Foundation convened a strategic planning meeting with representatives from I-DIEM Africa to strengthen the rollout of the ZeroBurn Ghana Project, a community-driven initiative aimed at ending open waste burning in local Ghanaian communities.

The meeting served as a critical platform for aligning operational plans, building synergy between both organizations, and establishing concrete steps toward a smooth and impactful project launch. Present at the meeting were project leads, communications teams, volunteer coordinators, and education specialists from both sides.

πŸ” Key Outcomes of the Meeting:

  1. Strategic Role Definition
Both parties reviewed the implementation framework and agreed on clearly defined roles. T-DELS Foundation will lead grassroots mobilization, volunteer management, and community workshops, while I-DIEM Africa will provide technical support, sustainability frameworks, and tools for impact monitoring.
  2. Finalization of Phase 1 Rollout
The meeting outlined detailed logistics for Phase 1, which targets over 10,000 households in high-risk communities. Educational outreach materials, workshop schedules, and community engagement tactics were fine-tuned for effective delivery.
  3. Volunteer Recruitment & Training Plan
The two organizations mapped out a joint volunteer strategy to ensure trained and passionate individuals are ready to serve as ZeroBurn Champions. A training curriculum is being finalized, with sessions scheduled to begin in due time.
  4. Community Engagement Tools
Customized flyers, posters, and video explainers are being co-developed to resonate with local audiences. The focus is on practical education about the dangers of open burning and promoting alternatives like composting and responsible waste disposal.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation
A shared monitoring framework was adopted to measure reach, community behavior changes, and environmental impact. This will be crucial for both internal learning and future scaling of the project.

A Growing Partnership for Climate Action

This collaboration between T-DELS Foundation and I-DIEM Africa signals a strong commitment to grassroots climate action and public health protection. As the ZeroBurn Ghana Project progresses, this partnership will ensure both strategic oversight and community-level relevance β€” a blend necessary for true, lasting impact.

The T-DELS Foundation expresses gratitude to I-DIEM Africa for their unwavering support and looks forward to the transformative change this partnership will bring to our communities.
